Christine's Chili

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 lb ground beef
- 30 ounces kidney beans (i now add more to bump protein up)
- 58 ounces tomato sauce
- 14 1/2 ounces diced italian tomatoes, drained
- 1/2 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 large green pepper, chopped
- 1 1/4 ounces chili seasoning mix
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon mrs. dash seasoning mix, table blend
- 1/2 teaspoon mrs. dash seasoning mix, original
- 1/2 teaspoon mrs. dash seasoning mix, classic italiano blend
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 18 ounces tomato paste
Recipe
- 1 place ground beef in skillet.
- 2 fry ground beef until browned. do not drain.
- 3 pour undrained browned beef into crockpot.
- 4 add to the browned beef the kidney beans, tomato sauce, diced italian tomatoes, onion and green pepper.
- 5 turn crockpot on low.
- 6 next add the chili seasoning, chili powder, paprika, cumin, mrs dash table blend, mrs dash original, mrs dash classic italiano, garlic powder, parsley flakes, and crushed red pepper flakes.
- 7 gently stir the chili.
- 8 allow this to cook 4-5 hours then add the tomato paste.
- 9 continue to cook the chili for a total of 6 hours then serve.
- 10 note: gently stir the chili while cooking.
