Christine's Chili

Total Time: 6 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 6 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 30 ounces kidney beans (i now add more to bump protein up)
  • 58 ounces tomato sauce
  • 14 1/2 ounces diced italian tomatoes, drained
  • 1/2 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 large green pepper, chopped
  • 1 1/4 ounces chili seasoning mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon mrs. dash seasoning mix, table blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon mrs. dash seasoning mix, original
  • 1/2 teaspoon mrs. dash seasoning mix, classic italiano blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 18 ounces tomato paste

Recipe

  • 1 place ground beef in skillet.
  • 2 fry ground beef until browned. do not drain.
  • 3 pour undrained browned beef into crockpot.
  • 4 add to the browned beef the kidney beans, tomato sauce, diced italian tomatoes, onion and green pepper.
  • 5 turn crockpot on low.
  • 6 next add the chili seasoning, chili powder, paprika, cumin, mrs dash table blend, mrs dash original, mrs dash classic italiano, garlic powder, parsley flakes, and crushed red pepper flakes.
  • 7 gently stir the chili.
  • 8 allow this to cook 4-5 hours then add the tomato paste.
  • 9 continue to cook the chili for a total of 6 hours then serve.
  • 10 note: gently stir the chili while cooking.
