Caprese Pizza With Bacon

Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded (use more if you love cheese!)
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1/2 cup basil pesto
- 1 tomato, sliced into 1/4-inch thick rounds
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, sliced
Recipe
- 1 cut the bacon slices in half and cook in a skillet over medium heat until still slightly chewy, about 8 minutes.
- 2 transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.
- 3 on a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to 16" x 12" rectangle and transfer to a lightly floured baking sheet.
- 4 spread with the pesto and top with the tomato, bacon and cheese.
- 5 bake at 425 degrees f for 20 minutes.
- 6 sprinkle with the fresh basil and serve.
