Chicken Italian

Total Time: 10 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 chicken thighs, with bones and skin, no need to thaw
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup sherry wine
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon capers

Recipe

  • 1 place all ingredients in slow cooker in order listed. cook on low for 8-10 hours. remove skin from chicken to serve. serve with rice or pasta.
