Creamy Mushroom Sauce For Pasta

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/2 ounce butter
  • 4 spring onions, chopped
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 2 cups double cream
  • pepper, freshly ground
  • parmesan cheese, for sprinkling

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat. add onions and mushrooms and cook while stirring until mushrooms are soft, about 4 minutes.
  • 2 stir in stock, cream and black pepper to taste, bring to a gentle boil and simmer for 6 to 8 minutes or until sauce reduces and thickens slightly.
  • 3 toss with your choice of pasta, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and serve.
