Chicken Italiano Casserole

Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, finely chopped or 1/4 cup pesto sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 cups marinara sauce or 2 cups pasta sauce
- 1 1/2 cups reduced-fat mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 ounces grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup garlic-flavored croutons, roughly crushed leaving some larger pieces
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
- 2 lightly spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray.
- 3 place the chicken in the bottom of the dish in a single layer.
- 4 sprinkle the minced garlic, red pepper flakes, basil/pesto and oregano evenly over the chicken.
- 5 spread the sauce evenly across the top.
- 6 on top of the sauce, sprinkle 1/2 of the mozzarella and 1/2 of the parmesan evenly across the dish.
- 7 sprinkle the crushed croutons across the top and follow with the rest of the cheese.
- 8 bake for 40-45 minutes. let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
