Chicken With Stewed Tomatoes

Ingredients

- 8 boneless chicken breast halves
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can italian-style stewed tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- flour (for coating chicken)
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter
Recipe
- 1 cut chicken breast halves in half again.
- 2 mix flour, salt and pepper together in a plastic bag.
- 3 add chicken pieces and shake to coat.
- 4 in an electric frying pan or dutch oven, cook chicken in butter. brown on both sides, adding more butter if needed.
- 5 add stewed tomatoes, oregano and basil.
- 6 lower heat, cover and cook for about 1 hour.
