Ingredients
- 1 cup rinsed and soaked black-eyed peas
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon dried italian seasoning
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 1 tablespoon dried vegetable flakes
- 1 tablespoon bacon bits
- 2 cups water
- salt
- pepper
Recipe
- 1 stir all ingredients in a medium pot.
- 2 cover and simmer for 3 hours or until soft, stirring occasionally.
