Crock Pot Italian Pizza Sauce Over Pasta

Ingredients

- 1 lb bulk italian sausage
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can chili beans
- 1 (2 1/4 ounce) can sliced ripe olives, drained
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 1 small chopped green bell pepper
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon quick-cooking tapioca
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- hot cooked pasta, your choice
- shredded mozzarella cheese
Recipe
- 1 in a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until no longer pink.
- 2 drain off fat.
- 3 transfer to your crock pot.
- 4 add the next 13 ingredients except cooked pasta and shredded mozzarella cheese and mix well.
- 5 cover and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours.
- 6 sauce should be slightly thickened.
- 7 discard bay leaf before serving.
- 8 stir pizza sauce before serving over pasta.
- 9 sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
