Creamy Italian Sausage Pasta

Ingredients

- 8 ounces uncooked spiral shaped pasta
- 3/4 lb bulk italian sausage
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3/4 cup chopped sweet red pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Recipe
- 1 cook pasta according to package directions.
- 2 in a large skillet, cook sausage in oil and butter over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- 3 add red pepper and onion; cook and stir until vegetables are tender and sausage is no longer pink.
- 4 add broth; cook for 2 minutes.
- 5 add the cream, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.
- 6 bring to a boil. reduce heat; cook over low heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 7 drain pasta.
- 8 in a large bowl, combine sausage mixture and pasta.
- 9 before serving, sprinkle with parsley.
