Ed's Meat Penne

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 16 ounces penne rigate
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 (4 1/4 ounce) can chopped black olives
  • 2 cups parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning

Recipe

  • 1 start 4 qt of water boiling in large pot (6 qt or bigger).
  • 2 in 4.5qt pot over medium heat.
  • 3 combine tomatos, sauce, drained mushrooms and olives.
  • 4 chop onion and garlic. brown the meat with the onion and garlic. season with chili powder and italian seasoning.
  • 5 start the pasta once the water is boiling.
  • 6 stir the cheese into the sauce, the stir in the meat. keep in med-low heat until pasta is done.
  • 7 drain pasta and immediately combine pasta and sauce back in the large pot the pasta was cooked inches.
