Cathy's Favorite Spaghetti Casserole

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3/4 lb italian sausage or 3/4 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can chopped tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup spaghetti, broken into peices
  • 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 brown meat in cast iron or oven safe skillet.
  • 2 drain all but 1 tablespoon of fat. stir in onion, green pepper ad garlic. saute 5 minutes.
  • 3 stir in tomatoes, water, oregano, basil, salt, pepper and spaghetti. stir to combine. push spaghetti down into liquid.
  • 4 cover tightly with foil.
  • 5 bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until spaghetti is tender.
  • 6 cover with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. leave uncovered.
  • 7 bake 5 minutes more until cheese is melted.
  • 8 serve hot.
