Cathy's Favorite Spaghetti Casserole

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 3/4 lb italian sausage or 3/4 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can chopped tomatoes
- 1/3 cup water
- 3/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup spaghetti, broken into peices
- 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Recipe
- 1 brown meat in cast iron or oven safe skillet.
- 2 drain all but 1 tablespoon of fat. stir in onion, green pepper ad garlic. saute 5 minutes.
- 3 stir in tomatoes, water, oregano, basil, salt, pepper and spaghetti. stir to combine. push spaghetti down into liquid.
- 4 cover tightly with foil.
- 5 bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until spaghetti is tender.
- 6 cover with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. leave uncovered.
- 7 bake 5 minutes more until cheese is melted.
- 8 serve hot.
