Bruschetta Topped With Tomatoes And Capers

Total Time: 23 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 8 mins

Ingredients

  • 12 slices italian bread, sliced 1/2 inch thick (baguette)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped (1 1/2 cups)
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil, leaved
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons small capers, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
  • 2 place bread slices on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 3 drizzle 1 teaspoon oil on each slice bread. bake about 8 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 4 while bread is toasting, mix remaining ingredients.
  • 5 spoon tomato mixture onto bread slices.
  • 6 serve at at room temperature.
