Crock Pot Swiss Steak

Total Time: 9 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 9 hrs 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless beef round steak, trimmed and cut into 6 pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 1/4 lbs small red potatoes, quartered
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh baby carrots
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (12 ounce) jar prepared beef gravy

Recipe

  • 1 season beef on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • 2 brown beef on both sides in oil in skillet.
  • 3 place beef in the bottom of the crock pot.
  • 4 top beef with vegetables.
  • 5 stir together tomatoes with their juice, and the gravy.
  • 6 pour tomato/gravy mixture over all.
  • 7 cook on low for 7-9 hours.
