Crock Pot Swiss Steak

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless beef round steak, trimmed and cut into 6 pieces
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 1/4 lbs small red potatoes, quartered
- 1 1/2 cups fresh baby carrots
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (12 ounce) jar prepared beef gravy
Recipe
- 1 season beef on both sides with salt and pepper.
- 2 brown beef on both sides in oil in skillet.
- 3 place beef in the bottom of the crock pot.
- 4 top beef with vegetables.
- 5 stir together tomatoes with their juice, and the gravy.
- 6 pour tomato/gravy mixture over all.
- 7 cook on low for 7-9 hours.
