Breakfast Sausage

Total Time: 19 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 4 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lbs ground lamb shoulder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon thyme
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Recipe

  • 1 in a bowl mix ground lamb thoroughly with seasons.
  • 2 mix water into lamb.
  • 3 shape lamb mixture into medium size patties approx 1/4" thick.
  • 4 fry patties on medium heat for approx 1-2 minutes on each side or until no longer pink inside.
  • 5 note: this lamb mixture may also be stuffed into casings (italian sausage size)--cut into links--fryed or grilled--served with bbq sauce as a delicious"hot link" sausage!
