Coastal Living Chicken And Beef Fajitas

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried chipotle powder (optional)
  • 1 cup italian dressing
  • 6 skinned and boneless chicken breast halves
  • 4 lbs flank steaks
  • 20 (8 inch) flour tortillas, warmed
  • sour cream, shredded lettuce, shopped tomato, shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe

  • 1 combine first 6 ingredients and, if desired, chipotle seasoning.
  • 2 stir together chili powder mixture and dressing. pour half of marinade into a shallow dish or large heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag; add chicken. cover or seal.
  • 3 pour remaining marinade into a separate shallow dish or large heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag; add beef. cover or seal; chill chicken and beef 2 hours.
  • 4 remove chicken and beef from marinade, discarding marinade.
  • 5 grill, covered with grill lid, over medium heat (300 to 350 f) about 15 minutes on each side or until chicken is done and beef is to desired degree of doneness.
  • 6 cut chicken and beef into strips. serve in warmed flour tortillas with desired toppings.
