Cheesy Chicken And Pasta Shell Casserole

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) box medium pasta shells, uncooked
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded italian cheese blend, divided

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • 2 cook pasta according to package directions, omitting the salt.
  • 3 spray a 8x8 baking dish with cooking spray, and set aside.
  • 4 spray large skillet with cooking spray, heat over medium-high heat, add chicken and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  • 5 cook 2-3 minutes add bell pepper.
  • 6 cook until pepper is tender and chicken is no longer pink in centers.
  • 7 stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, 3/4 cup cheese, and cooked pasta.
  • 8 transfer mixture to prepared dish, and sprinkle with remaining 3/4 cup cheese.
  • 9 bake 15 minutes or until cheese melts, and mixture is bubbly.
