Broccoli, Sausage And Pasta Ears

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb orecchiette (pasta ears) or 1 lb bow tie pasta
  • 2 lbs broccoli, cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1 lb sweet italian sausage link, sliced into bite sized pieces
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 -3 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 bring a large pot of water to boil and add pasta.
  • 2 meanwhile heat olive oil over medium high heat and quickly cook the sausage.
  • 3 add the broccoli, garlic, butter and chicken broth.
  • 4 bring to a boil, reduce to medium high and cook uncovered for 5 minutes, reducing sauce.
  • 5 drain pasta and pour into a serving bowl.
  • 6 add the broccoli mixture and cheese, tossing well.
  • 7 serve.
