Crock Pot Sausage Pasta Stew

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb italian sausage, casings removed
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 (26 ounce) jar meatless spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 medium carrots, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1 medium red pepper, diced
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked spiral pasta
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 in a nonstick skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink. drain and place in a crockpot.
  • 2 add water, spaghetti sauce, beans, carrots, red pepper and onion and mix.
  • 3 cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours or until vegetables are tender.
  • 4 stir in the pasta, peas, sugar, salt and pepper and mix.
  • 5 cover and cook on high for 15-20 minutes or until pasta is tender.
