Black Beans And Rice

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, finely chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (30 ounce) can black beans, undrained
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 dash mixed italian herbs
  • 1 dash herbes de provence
  • 2 tablespoons wine or 2 tablespoons cider vinegar

Recipe

  • 1 heat oil in a large pan, add the onion, pepper, and garlic and cooking until it's clear, about 5 minutes.
  • 2 add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • 3 bring to a boil, stirring everyone once in a while.
  • 4 reduce the heat to a simmer, and cook for at least 5-10 minutes, or until it reaches the consistency you desire.
  • 5 serve with rice, or use it as an ingredient in a burrito, it's great either way.
