Creamy Italian Broccoli

Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons minced shallots
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- salt and pepper
- 1 1/4 cups half-and-half
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 (14 ounce) package baby broccoli florets, cooked and drained
Recipe
- 1 in a medium saucepan, melt butter.
- 2 sauté shallot in butter until soft, about 3 minutes.
- 3 stir in flour, seasoning, salt and pepper.
- 4 cook over medium heat for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- 5 slowly add half-and-half and lemon juice.
- 6 cook, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth.
- 7 stir together sauce and broccoli.
- 8 serve as is or with chicken kiev.
